Having delivered to thousands of children from all around the world, we now look forward to welcoming local pupils from our home town of Truro as part of Ocean Club NQY.
— Lee Gamble, First Wave Adventures founder (and former Truro School boy!)

A dedicated club for Truro School pupils with an emphasis on fun and building new friendships, for both pupils and parents.

Join us at Newquay's picturesque Great Western Beach, with it's rich surfing heritage and Blue Flag award-winning standards.  It's sheltered setting, soft sands, and on-site beach facilities, make it the ideal environment to combine making new friends with the fun of the ocean.  In launching Ocean Club NQY, we aim to offer a weekly social get-together where children can learn new skills and develop new friendships.

In accordance with age and ability, your child will experience a variety of water and beach-based activities, from surfing and bodyboarding to the gentler pursuits of beach art and rockpooling, with water safety being taught at every step.  All equipment is included without additional charge.

Equally, as parents ourselves, we appreciate the role parents hold, with the daily drop-offs, pick-ups, and attending weekend parties.  We invite parents to be a part of Ocean Club NQY, either in an active capacity by joining your child in the water or by joining other parents for coffee and cake.   Of course, if you wish to take some much deserved time out, you'll be more than welcome to leave your child in our care.
